You never lost the love for the game. Just the people to play it with.
Not a golf club. Not a travel company. A private community of men who use the game to build something that lasts.
The golf trip you talk about every year and never actually book. A group chat that's gone quiet. A calendar full of meetings and not one real conversation. Somewhere between your 20s and now, the friendships that used to happen on their own just stopped — and so did the plans to keep them alive.
You're not looking for a hobby. You're not looking for a networking event with a dress code. You're looking for your people. And you want to find them on a golf course.
Use the game to build something that goes far beyond it.
Most men in their 30s and 40s have a full life and an empty social calendar. The college friends scattered. Work friendships stay at work. And somewhere along the way the kind of friendships that actually matter became harder to find and harder to keep.
Golf has always been where men's best friendships happen — four hours, no phones, side by side. Something about the game creates the conditions for real conversation and real connection that almost nothing else does.
The Round is a private membership community that uses golf as the vehicle to build those friendships intentionally. Curated members, exceptional experiences, and a community that exists between the rounds — not just during them.
Think all the belonging of a private golf club without the $50,000 initiation fee. Starting in Austin, built to scale nationally.

I built this because I needed it.
I moved to Austin in 2021. Career was growing, marriage was great — fifteen-plus years in now, two kids, and a dog — but somewhere in the move my people ended up scattered across the country. Group texts instead of Sunday rounds. Nobody warns you what that actually looks like: a Saturday morning, first tee, playing with strangers because your guys live somewhere else now.
I've spent my career running client success and post-sales teams at high-growth companies — pro sports, tech, financial services — the kind of work where you learn fast whether something you built actually holds up once the pressure's on. Turns out that's decent training for building a community, too.
Golf's the one place I've never needed an agenda. I play to a 5.5 — on a good week. On a bad one, ask me nothing. A full membership never made sense at this stage. This does. What I actually wanted was simpler and harder to find: my people, more often, doing the thing we all still love.
The Round is what I wish existed. Not a course. Not another online group of strangers. A membership — and the people in it are what make it worth being part of.
Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
The People
Every member is vetted and vouched for. We curate the membership as carefully as the experiences — because who you play with is the whole point. You'll never wonder if the guy across the fairway is worth knowing.
The Experiences
Curated golf experiences at courses worth traveling for — with people worth traveling with. Every detail handled. You just show up and play.
The Community
The round ends. The connection doesn't. Between experiences, The Round keeps you plugged into a community of men who get it — through a private platform, local touchpoints, and the kind of group chat that actually has something worth reading.
This might not be for you.
This isn't for you if...
- ✕You're looking for a networking group with golf attached
- ✕You want access to courses, not the people on them
- ✕You're too busy to actually show up
- ✕You think a group chat is the same as a friendship
- ✕You're not willing to be a little vulnerable with guys you just met
You'll fit right in if...
- ✓Golf has always been where your best friendships happened
- ✓You've relocated, gotten married, had kids — and felt your social life quietly shrink
- ✓You want a standing group of guys, not a random foursome
- ✓You'd rather play one great round with great people than grind 36 holes alone
- ✓You believe the 19th hole is where the real round begins
The founding members write the first chapter.
The Round is in its earliest days. We're looking for a small group of founding members in Austin who want to help shape what this becomes — not just consume it. Founding members set the culture, influence the experiences, and lock in a rate that will never be available again.
Spots are limited. Membership is by invitation only. If this sounds like you, start here.
Questions you may have.
A private membership community for accomplished men who use golf as the vehicle for real friendship and connection. Not a golf club. Not a travel company. A curated group of guys who show up for each other on and off the course.
Men in their 30s and 40s who love golf, have built a good life, and somewhere along the way lost the standing group of friends to play it with. Professionals, husbands, dads — guys who are done with surface-level networking and ready for something real.
Annual membership covers access to the community, curation, and ongoing programming. Experiences — green fees, travel, lodging — are priced separately at cost so everyone pays their fair share. No hidden fees, no subsidizing people who show up more than you do.
No. Every member is vetted. We're building a specific kind of community and that requires being deliberate about who's in it. The application process is a conversation, not a form.
We're launching in Austin, Texas with national ambitions. If you're not in Austin but want to bring The Round to your city, mention it when you apply.
Show up when you can. There's no minimum. That said — the more you put in, the more you get out. The members who get the most out of The Round are the ones who actually show up.
